Located in the Sierra National Forest, Shaver Lake is at an elevation of about 5500 feet in the clean mountain air. Summer time activities include sailing, water skiing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain climbing and fishing. Winter time offers snowmobiling, snow skiing, snow boarding and, for the more adventurous, cross country skiing. The town of Shaver Lake is the entrance to six major mountain lakes: Huntington, Florence, Wishon, Courtwright, Edison and of course, Shaver Lake.
